This policy explains what information FeetInchesCalculator ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, and what we do with it. The short version: the tools run in your browser, we do not have user accounts, and we never receive the files you use with the tools.
1. Information processed in your browser
Everything the tools on this site do happens on your own device. The measurements you enter are processed by your browser. Your rounding choice and the calculator tape are saved in your browser.s local storage so they are still there next time; that data stays on your device and you can clear it with the Clear tape button or by clearing your browser.s site data.
2. Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are deleted on the host's normal schedule. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.
3. Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized advertising cookies are used, through a consent message provided by Google.
4. Your privacy rights
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have rights to know about, delete or opt out of certain uses of personal information, including the "sharing" of data for targeted advertising. Because we do not keep accounts or profiles, the main way to exercise these rights is through the advertising controls above. You can also contact us using the details below.
5. Children
This site is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
